Yesterday evening, an Islamic 'catechism' session took place at the San Lorenzo parish in Brindisi, in southern Italy. In attendance were Imam Khaled Bouchelaghem, members of the local Islamic community, and Archbishop Giovanni Intini of Brindisi-Ostuni. The meeting was titled: "Do you know Islam?" Archbishop Intini delivered the closing remarks at the end of the evening. According to the archdiocesan website, teaching the Islamic religion should promote dialogue. Last year, Muslims celebrated the end of Ramadan at the same parish. The article's picture on the right shows Archbishop Intini and Imam Bouchelaghem in 2025. #newsOboylsfdqv
Vatican.va that contains an archive of speeches of recent popes, altered the prayer delivered by Pope John Paul II in March 2000 in Wadi al-Kharrar, Jordan, in all languages. John Paul II concluded the prayer with the following words: "May Saint John the Baptist protect Islam." Unsurprisingly, this caused a huge scandal at the time. Archive.org has saved screenshots of the relevant files in different languages up to 10 February 2026. The new, fabricated version on Vatican.va, which John Paul II never uttered, reads: "May Saint John the Baptist protect this land." #newsHgeytapbbx
The change is sudden after all these years but... only the truth is interesting. The problem is: which version is correct - to establish it one has to check the original video/audio/broadcast and 2000 press releases (including e.g. the speech text - originally in English - in L'Osservatore Romano). For example here sb claims (February video) it was the long term Vatican error corrected allegedly this year (unfortunately do not placing links for the source material used which in the AI era is crucial): youtube.com/watch?v=u30ai5LQyKM

During the flight from Algeria to Cameroon, Pope Leo XIV explained his visit to a mosque: "The visit was significant in showing that, despite our different beliefs, ways of worshipping and ways of living, we can live together in peace." However, Leo XIV had referred to the mosque as a 'divine, sacred space' and was not just talking about social affairs.
Pope explains his visit to the mosque was not to pretend Catholicism and Islam are the same but simply to promote the rejection of religious violence in Algeria.
Catholic Leaders Defend Pope and Criticize Trump After Harsh Attacks A prominent conservative bishop who serves on President Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission was among those who called on the president to apologize. nytimes.com/2026/04/13/us/trump-pope-leo.html President Trump faced a groundswell of criticism from Christians across the political spectrum on Monday for his social-media posts attacking Pope Leo XIV and depicting himself as a Jesus-like figure. Pushback was so forceful, including some from Mr. Trump’s supporters, that by late morning on Monday the Jesus image, which had been posted on the president’s social-media account, was deleted. The president’s tirade on Sunday night against Pope Leo, one week after Easter Sunday, accused him of being too liberal and “weak on crime,” and even falsely claimed credit for the pope’s election. For months, tension between the White House and the Vatican has been mounting amid the turbulence of the Trump administration’s aggressive …Aswan
The mission of Leo XIV will be to “calm the waters,” asserts the pro-gay Masonic “rabbi”—who denies Christ—Abraham Skorka, a friend of that reprobate of unhappy memory, Jorge Bergoglio. Skorka states: “We must not forget that the new Pope is, so to speak, a product of Francis. Francis saw him in Peru—he saw what this man accomplished in Peru—he fully identified with his work, brought him to the Vatican, and *made* him—to use the correct verb—a cardinal; it was as if he sensed a certain chemistry.”
I would love to throw a big bucket of Holy Water over Kissy Tucho and kick his alphabet donkey out of the Vatican - that's what Pope Leo should do if he had a shred or spark of Catholic courage.

This is the priest who died on the Titanic to hear confessions and administer last rites. Given the opportunity to board a lifeboat on two separate occasions, Father Thomas Byles firmly declined. He chose instead to stay behind, absolving sins and consoling the doomed passengers. Following the vessel's collision with the iceberg, he assembled the remaining crowds on the aft deck. Those who lived through the disaster recalled him standing bravely amid the panic, listening to confessions, granting collective absolution, and reciting the Rosary right up until the ocean claimed the stern. This is the type of story we should elevate, heroic virtue. May the Lord bless us with more holy men possessing the courage of Father Thomas Byles.
Vatican Blocks Continuity of Procedure of Beatification and Canonization of Argentine Bishop -- no new Satanellis The Church has prohibited public veneration of non-canonized persons; Bergoglio, for instance, raised recognized Marxists and apostates to the altars—an act that constitutes the sin of idolatry. Bergoglio adulterated the concept of Martyrdom to include murders for political reasons. Even the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, in its Profession of Faith under Pope John Paul II, affirmed that the canonizations of saints were dogmatic facts. Since it has been established that Bergoglio signed fraudulent canonization processes, we conclude that he was not the Pope. For the Magisterium—both ordinary and extraordinary—of a Pope is infallible when it teaches on matters of faith and morals. Prevost mocks Sainthood But under Prevost, not only are apostate pagan priests elevated to the altars—following Bergoglio’s heretical parameters—but half-truths also continue to be …Aswan

(Personal note: The author of this article came right down the middle when discussing both sides.....Wanted to get that out.....) His Holiness Pope Leo XIV Is Not a Politician Everyone is already seeing the tension building between U.S. President Donald Trump and Pope Leo XIV, especially with everything going on right now involving the U.S. and Iran. After the Pope made public appeals for restraint, peace, and basically warning about the dangers of escalating violence, Trump came back pretty strongly, calling him “weak on crime” and “terrible for foreign policy,” and basically saying the Pope doesn’t really understand how global security works. Now I’ve said this before and I think it still applies here. The Pope is not a politician, and neither are bishops, priests, or any of the clergy. Their job is just different. A lot of people today kind of blur that line and start treating the Church like it’s just another political player in Washington or anywhere else. But that’s not …Aswan
Holiness is not attributable to worshipers of demons. Is this mass amnesia just because people became disillusioned with Trump and now they need a new idol, so they pretend he is "holy" all of a sudden?

In 1976, Cardinal Karol Wojtyła visited Stevens Point, Wisconsin, USA, where he gave a fascinating lecture in English at the University of Wisconsin on Catholic education in Poland. Just two years later, he became Pope John Paul II. Here's rare footage of the entire lecture:

Two suicide bombers reportedly attacked a police station in Blida, about 45 km from Algiers, during the visit of Pope Leo XIV. Early reports say the attackers died on the spot and a police officer was injured.
Editors’ Note: This essay is adapted from a talk for the Society for Classical Learning at Capstone Classical Academy in Fargo, North Dakota, on March 12, 2026. Larry Arnn, the president of Hillsdale College, wrote recently about a young man at the college named Luke who has started an organization named after the 12th Legion Fulminata of ancient Rome. The emperor Lucinius put members of the 12th Legion in freezing water to die unless they renounced Christianity. In memory of that Legion, Luke and the members of his group go out to a lake in freezing weather before the sun rises and stand in the water singing hymns and reciting Bible passages. Arnn writes, “This is a very young-mannish thing to do, but what do they learn from it? To serve. To be strong. To be free. To look up. These are the kind of young Americans who will save our country.” These young students’ steely determination to embrace suffering in pursuit of virtue calls to mind C. S. Lewis’s favorite philosopher, Boethius …
