Leo XIV appoints Cardinal Luis Tagle as new dean of the College of Cardinals. Today, Pope Leo XIV has accepted the resignation of Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, 92, as Dean of the College of Cardinals. He approved the election of Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle as the new Dean of the College of Cardinals. Cardinal Tagle is Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization. Nicknamed “Chito,” the sentimal prelate is known for singing and crying in public. He has wept during liturgies, promotions and talks. In 2015, Tagle condemned the Church's use of “harsh language” toward homosexual, claiming it had contributed to their alleged isolation. Frank Hearing Will Be Postponed Until the Solicitor Is Ready to Make Answer to Petition Judge L. S. Roan stated last night when informed by The Constitution of Solicitor General Hugh M. Dorsey's desire to postpone the hearing for a new trial for Leo M. Frank that he would grant the postponement without causing the solicitor to appear in person Saturday morning and request the delay. Attorney Luther Z. Rosser, counsel for the convicted man, stated that he would be willing, he believed, for the solicitor to have more time if he needed it. The various statements make it certain now that the hearing will not come off this Saturday.
